The Ultimate Dragon Championships, 2002

On September 14, 2002, The Murphree's team traveld to Stratford Missouri and showed 'em what we're made of. When the dust had settled and the fates were decided, we came away with 8 trophies. We had 8 competitors representing us and every one of them finished in the top three! That is awsome guys!

The trip began at Skyline Baptist Church where we meet and had prayer before making the drive up to Stratford. It was exciting. For most of our team, this was their very first tournament. Mistakes were made, lessons were learned, but they all did fantastic.

Nathan Murphree, 2nd Dan Black Belt

-2nd place, Black Belt Traditional Forms (18+)

-2nd place, Black Belt Open Weapons Forms(18+)

Aaron Murphree, Jr. Black Belt

-2nd place, Junior Black Belt Contemporary/Musical Forms

Seth Murphree, Purple Belt

-2nd place, Intermediate Sparring (16-17)

Mike Davis, Purple Belt

-2nd place, Intermediate Traditional Forms (18+)

Luise Lopez, Orange Belt

-2nd place, Novice Sparring (14-15)

M.K.K Celebrates 3 year

Murphree's Kenpo Karate is celebrating thier 3rd anniversary here at Skyline Baptist Church. It has been an exciting experience for all of us and it just keeps getting better. The Kickin' For Christ Team is off to a strong start, with several demonstrations already under our belt. Next up is the Gulfport, Mississippi Mission Trip. Get ready for some Action!

Our class is still growing. It's great to see so many new faces in addition to our faithful regulars who have stuck it out through the long haul. We would like to take this opertuinity to thank all our students and supporters. Without you we wouldn't even be here.
