Nathan Murphree is the Head Instructor and co-founder of M.K.K.

Nathan Murphree and his brother Aaron have been studying and teaching the martial arts with a combined 25 years of experience.  Nathan began his tranning in the arts at the age of 10 in the art of Tae Kwon Do and continued in that system for 2 and a half years.  Nathan also has formal tranning in Tuk Soo Ban, a system that combines the arts of Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Judo, and Kickboxing.  At the age of 13, he began training in Chinese Kenpo Karate under the instruction of Grand Master Chuck Sullivan, 10th Dan, and Grand Master Vic LeRoux, 10th Dan. (for more information on Mr. Sullivan and Mr. LeRoux, click here).  Nathan earned his Jr. Black Belt in January of 1998, and was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt in March of that same year.  In March of 2001, Nathan recieved his 2nd degree and later his 3rd degree in May of 2004.  Nathan is a charter school memeber of the International Karate Connection Association and is also a Certified Instructor.  He is the co-founder of Murphree's Kenpo Karate--Kickin' for Christ Ministries and now teaches at Skyline Baptist Church.  Nathan is also the founder and key speaker of the KICKIN' FOR CHRIST MINISTRY TEAM.
 
In addition to this, Nathan holds a Bacholor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religion.  Nathan spent a year serving as a Youth Pastor and feels a strong call on his life to serve God with all that HE has given him. Nathan frequently quotes his favorite verse "Whatever you do wether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."  (Col 3:17) 
 
Aaron Murphree, or "Little Brother" has he is called.  Began his training under his brother at the age of 9 and earned his Jr. Black Belt under Mr. Murprhee in accordence with the I.K.C.A. certified instructor certification requirments. Aaron has, in addition, personaly trained with Grand Master Sullivan and Master LeRoux. He earned his Jr. Black Belt at the age of 13.  Aaron is the first student at M.K.K to recieve a Black Belt.  He has placed highly in several National Championships and and also stands undeated in wrestling.  Aaron has also recieved the Video Test of the Year Award from the I.K.C.A.; a great honor and one of the highest awards given by the association.
 
Like Nathan, Aaron has dedicated much of his life to serving Christ not only through the Kickin' for Christ program, but also through many other ministries including World Changers, and various drama ministries.
